Health Training Goes To School

YKK Indonesia conducted health training at the schools surrounding the Cibitung factory to benefit the students. Targeting 4-6th grade students, the training taught them how to brush their teeth the right way and keep their body clean through proper hygiene. The training was carried out by YKK's clinic doctor team, dentist, and paramedic.

YKK Indonesia formed a soccer club to train employees' children and children from the community near YKK Cibitung and Zipco factories and promote sports as a fun and healthy activity. The coaches are volunteers made out of YKK employees. Training sessions were carried out by the volunteer coaches every Sunday in the YKK factory field.

Students qualified for the scholarships based on their results and their family background. This year, the company provided fastening products to the 2nd level students for their casual wear project. Zippers and grosgrain were also supplied for the "Do It Yourself" workshop for the public to make aprons, ties and pillowcases.

Sharing and Caring for the Community (Qurban event)

Idul Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God, before God intervened to provide him with a ram to sacrifice instead. The Muslims commemorate this occasion by slaughtering animals (sheep, lambs, cows, or camels) and distributing the meat among relatives, neighbours, and the poor as a special act of charity. YKK Indonesia shared cows and lambs on this special occasion with the community near the factory.

YKK Indonesia formed a soccer club in 2011 to train children from the community near YKK Cibitung factory. The coaches are volunteers made out of YKK employees. Training sessions are carried out by the volunteer coaches every Sunday in the YKK factory field. To date, YKK has been giving training to 75 children from 5-15 years old. This year, the club played in the "Serumpun Cup 2015" tournament and received training from Indonesia's national players. They also participated in the Soccer Expo Festival in the Bung Karno soccer stadium.

Circumcision, is a rite of passage in the mainly Muslim country. Indonesia, as one of the biggest Muslim population in the world, YKK contribute to mass circumcision for 20 kids on 5-12 years old. Collaboration with ESMOD Jakarta Fashion School

YKK Zipper Indonesia collaborates with ESMOD Jakarta, the leading French fashion school in Indonesia, for the second time, to hold the 2013 Graduation Fashion Show on June 6-9, 2013. YKK Zipper Indonesia produced YKK products for the graduates to create their graduate works. The collaboration aims to emphasize the existence of YKK as the greatest and most well-known accessories supplier in Indones.

YKK Zipper Indonesia believes that this can add value to the products and thus will continue to be involved in similar collaborations with fashion-based schools in the future!

Collaboration Project: YKK Indonesia with Arva School of Fashion

YKK Indonesia collaborated with Arva School of Fashion to present "Zip Zip Hooray!" fashion contest in March 2012. The objective was to explore zipper's artistic value on top of its functionality.

YKK Indonesia sponsored roll chain metal zippers and slider separately in different color variations. All the participants were equipped with basic sewing tools to play with their creativity by using YKK products. The final work of art were assembled on a mini mannequin.

YKK Indonesia is hoping to let users discover the diversity of YKK products through collaboration.

Sponsorship for the 1st Indonesia Fashion Week

YKK Zipper Indonesia participated as a sponsor of the 1st Indonesia Fashion Week held on 23 -26 February 2012 and through the "Road to IFW 2012 ", collaborated with some Indonesia designers like Lenny Agustin, Manggala, Defrico Audy, Estrelita, and students from Esmod School Jakarta who applied Fastener products on their "Ready to Wear" Outfit. Surprisingly and beyond imagination, a wonderful design comes from the touch of Indonesia designer.

All visitors of Indonesia Fashion Week are struck with amazement and admiration for Indonesia Designers' "work of art". It is proved by the enormous crowd of enthusiastic visitors that came to buy their products.

With great hope, YKK could give valuable contribution to Indonesia's fashion & industry.

A Collaborate with ESMOD Jakarta Fashion School

YKK Zipper Indonesia collaborated with ESMOD Jakarta, the leading French fashion school in Indonesia, to hold the 2010 Graduation Fashion Show on June 24, 2010. YKK Zipper Indonesia provided support through the procurement of fashion accessories for two lucky graduates. The two young designers used numerous YKK products including Excella zippers, buttons and eyelets to design their graduate collection. The collaboration aims to emphasize the existence of YKK as the greatest and most well-known accessories supplier in Indonesia.

YKK Zipper Indonesia hopes that through this collaboration, YKK will not only be recognized as a quality product, but also be able to add value amongst its fans and fashion designers in the world. YKK Zipper Indonesia will continue to be involved in similar collaborations with fashion-based schools in the future!

Exploring Fashion with YKK & NooR 2010

YKK Zipper Indonesia collaborated with Noor Magazine, a famous Moslem magazine for the second time, and successfully held the workshop "Exploring Fashion with YKK & NooR" on 24 Feb 2010. The purpose of the workshop is to tap the potential of creativities from young designers and provide an opportunity for them to showcase their talent. The workshop was divided into 2 stage.

10 designers participated in the first stage challenge, which required them to come out with the best design sketch using YKK products such as zipper, snap button etc. The top 3 designers was chosen to advance to the second stage. The second stage was held 2 months later with the designers turning their sketches into reality. The first, second and third winner was selected by the jury after their presentation.

YKK Kids Football Clinic 2010

YKK Holding Asia and YKK Zipper Indonesia successfully organized another edition of the "Just for kicks" YKK kids football clinic in Jakarta from the 18th-20th October 2010. Though the event was organized right in the middle of the monsoon season in Indonesia, the event ran smoothly without any challenges due to the weather. World-renowned coaches from AS Roma were invited back again to conduct the clinic for the second time.

On 3rd Mar 2008, YKK Zipper Indonesia celebrated the grand opening of a brand new branch at Semarang in central Java. Semarang branch handles the area from central and eastern Java to Bali.

YKK Kids Football Clinic 2008

"Just for Kicks" a CSR initiative that was inaugurated in 2007 in Singapore by YKK Holding Asia crossed borders this year and was organized in Bangladesh and Indonesia. The concept was to put over 700 boys aged 10-14 years old and 60 youth coaches through the paces for free by Academy coaches from world-renowned football club AS Roma.
