Idul Adha, one of the biggest Islamic day annually, involves sacrificing one goat or lamb and sharing it with others. This event normally takes 6 hours.
During Ramadan (fasting month), YKK Indonesia held a communal meal event which involved breakfasting with 100 orphans. This 3 hour event was open to orphans living near YKK factory. Throughout the event, the orphans enjoyed each other's company and appreciates this kind gesture by YKK.
In order to maintain brand awareness, YKK Indonesia participates in annual or special events like National Day traditional dance and games, Masjid gathering events etc. The company's involvement typically involves financial support for the events. In addition, it is also an effort to constantly support the local activities.

Medical Check up (Project since 2013)
Around 100 eldery folks were given complimentary health medical check-ups and basic understanding on healthy living. Their main concerns were diabetes, high blood pressure and respiratory infections. This bi-annual 4 hours health check up was held in Posyandunear Cibitung factory. It is an activity organized by the local health division in every village and held in the local society or community central place.
River Cleaning Program (Program Kali Bersih/ Prokasih) (Project since 2013)
The YKK Indonesia Plant is surrounded with river water that needs to be maintained frequently to prevent water pollution and related diseases that can potentially happen. An annual 6 hour cleaning activity is held at the river and near the vicinity, involving local staff that wants to contribute. If the public is keen, they are also more than welcome to join in. This meaningful event started since 2013.

In 2011, YKK Indonesia Cibitung factory started a soccer club for kids. Months ago, they followed the tournament "Serumpun Cup 2015" and then received training from an Indonesia National player as well. They also took part in Soccer expo festival in Bung Karno soccer station.

The objective of this activity was to support the health of mothers and children by supplying healthy food such as porridge and milk for them. Medical check up were also given to mothers, expecting mothers, babies and kids below 5 years old.
2017 YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic (AKFC) Jakarta, Indonesia (Project since 2007)
YKK ASIA GROUP’s flagship regional CSR event took place in Jakarta, Indonesia over the course of one weekend in October. The continuation of the successful partnership with Real Madrid Foundation (RMF) delivered professional clinics to local coaches and fun-filled engaging football clinics to underprivileged children between the ages of 8-15 years old.

Donation for Yayasan Nur Abadi (Special Needs School) (Project since 2006) YKK Indonesia's support for non-profit foundations started since 2006. For year 2017, Yayasan Nur Abadi was chosen. Most of the students are hearing impaired. Even though the teachers had difficulty communicating with them, they still taught the students with their whole heart. At the end of the sessions, the students became more independent and started to adapt comfortably in society. Amazing!

This decade long program started in 2006 and scholarships were given out to students living around Cibitung factory and employees children as well. Students who scored were then divided into Elementary, Junior high school, and Senior high school. For internal scholarships, 26 were from company.

To improve on the school to be more conducive for students, items like such as chairs, tables and computers are donated for schools around YKK factory. Collaboration Project: YKK Indonesia with Arva School of Fashion
YKK Indonesia collaborated with Arva School of Fashion to present "Zip Zip Hooray!" fashion contest in March 2012. The objective was to explore zipper's artistic value on top of its functionality.
YKK Indonesia sponsored roll chain metal zippers and slider separately in different color variations. All the participants were equipped with basic sewing tools to play with their creativity by using YKK products. The final work of art were assembled on a mini mannequin.
YKK Indonesia is hoping to let users discover the diversity of YKK products through collaboration.

YKK Zipper Indonesia participated as a sponsor of the 1st Indonesia Fashion Week held on 23 -26 February 2012 and through the "Road to IFW 2012 ", collaborated with some Indonesia designers like Lenny Agustin, Manggala, Defrico Audy, Estrelita, and students from Esmod School Jakarta who applied Fastener products on their "Ready to Wear" Outfit. YKK Zipper Indonesia collaborated with ESMOD Jakarta, the leading French fashion school in Indonesia, to hold the 2010 Graduation Fashion Show on June 24, 2010. YKK Zipper Indonesia provided support through the procurement of fashion accessories for two lucky graduates. The two young designers used numerous YKK products including Excella zippers, buttons and eyelets to design their graduate collection. The collaboration aims to emphasize the existence of YKK as the greatest and most well-known accessories supplier in Indonesia.
YKK Zipper Indonesia hopes that through this collaboration, YKK will not only be recognized as a quality product, but also be able to add value amongst its fans and fashion designers in the world. YKK Zipper Indonesia collaborated with Noor Magazine, a famous Moslem magazine for the second time, and successfully held the workshop "Exploring Fashion with YKK & NooR" on 24 Feb 2010. The purpose of the workshop is to tap the potential of creativities from young designers and provide an opportunity for them to showcase their talent. The workshop was divided into 2 stage.
10 designers participated in the first stage challenge, which required them to come out with the best design sketch using YKK products such as zipper, snap button etc. The top 3 designers was chosen to advance to the second stage. The second stage was held 2 months later with the designers turning their sketches into reality. The first, second and third winner was selected by the jury after their presentation.
YKK Holding Asia and YKK Zipper Indonesia successfully organized another edition of the "Just for kicks" YKK kids football clinic in Jakarta from the 18th-20th October 2010. Though the event was organized right in the middle of the monsoon season in Indonesia, the event ran smoothly without any challenges due to the weather. World-renowned coaches from AS Roma were invited back again to conduct the clinic for the second time.
Opening of Pt. YKK Zipper Indonesia Semarang branch
On 3rd Mar 2008, YKK Zipper Indonesia celebrated the grand opening of a brand new branch at Semarang in central Java. Semarang branch handles the area from central and eastern Java to Bali.
"Just for Kicks" a CSR initiative that was inaugurated in 2007 in Singapore by YKK Holding Asia crossed borders this year and was organized in Bangladesh and Indonesia. The concept was to put over 700 boys aged 10-14 years old and 60 youth coaches through the paces for free by Academy coaches from world-renowned football club AS Roma.
