The Dual-Coloured TPU Injection Puller and Dual Colour Side Release Buckle introduce greater design versatility through colour contrast and material innovation. These elements allow brands to add visual interest and differentiation to their products while maintaining durability and functional performance.
Sustainable Items – Responsible Materials and Reduced Environmental Impact
Sustainable Items emphasize responsible material selection and reduced environmental impact without compromising quality, performance, or design. By incorporating low-carbon aluminum into key components, these items support YKK’s commitment to effective resource utilization and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction.
Products such as the YZIP with Antique Silver Aluminium elements utilize aluminum alloy smelted using renewable energy sources, such as hydropower. The aluminum smelting process requires a large quantity of electricity and emits different amounts of carbon dioxide depending on the power source used.
The emissions of the low-carbon aluminum to be used for this initiative will be less than 4 metric tons of CO2 per ton of aluminum ingots produced, as it uses renewable energy as the power source. This significantly reduces CO2 emissions compared to using electricity generated from fossil fuels such as thermal power.
