YKK Holding Asia Pte Ltd (YHA) participated in the second season of Fashion Futures, a documentary series produced by the Singapore Fashion Council (SFC) in partnership with ASN Media. The series spotlights transformative trends and innovations within the fashion industry, exploring forward-thinking approaches and sustainable practices shaping the future of fashion.
Under the theme, Circular Economy & Sustainability, YHA shared YKK’s commitment to its Sustainability Vision 2050, demonstrating how the company is innovating in circular design, alongside efforts to enhance repairability and recyclability. Through this participation, YKK highlights its contributions beyond producing high-quality zippers and other fastening products.
The feature highlights YKK’s Revived Renewal Components, such as the VISLON® Revived Top Stop, along with the NATULON® Ocean Sourced™ zipper, a sustainable zipper made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastics.
The VISLON® Revived Top Stop demonstrates YKK’s capability to extend product life through easy removal and repair of the slider, showcasing the durability and quality of its zippers while supporting environmentally responsible practices.
Meanwhile, the NATULON® Ocean Sourced™ zipper uses 100% recycled material made from ocean-bound plastics collected within 50 km of coastlines in areas where waste management is insufficient or nonexistent, highlighting the brand’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.
The series premiered during Be The Change Summit 2025 and Sustainability Stories 2025, both flagship events of SFC. Following the premiere, the series is now available on the Fashion Futures website and across its social media channels, allowing a wider audience to explore YKK’s sustainability initiatives and circular solutions.
By highlighting repairability and the use of recycled materials, the feature shows how fastening products, like YKK zippers, can play a practical role in supporting circular fashion practices, combining innovation, durability, and sustainability.
