In line with the initiatives to give back to the community, YKK Philippines, Inc. joined the 2024 Outreach Program in collaboration with the different locators in First Philippine Industrial Park on September 20, 2024. Junior high school students of Ulango Elementary School participated in the program, which discussed the following: waste management, proper hygiene, and emergency preparedness.
One of the employees from YKK Philippines shared his knowledge with the students regarding emergency preparedness during fire and earthquake. This program entails giving students’ knowledge on how to respond in such emergencies. Not only in school, but also in their homes. The program ended with a simulation of emergency evacuation during an earthquake and the distribution of meals and hygiene kits.
