YKK Indonesia Donates Qurban Animals Amid Covid-19 Pandemic
The Covid-19 pandemic did not stop Muslims in Indonesia from carrying on tradition as they proceed ahead with the celebration of Idul Adha.
Idul Adha is known as the Feast of the Sacrifice and is the event of respecting Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice his son, Ishmael, to Allah. Just as Ibrahim was to kill Ishmael, Allah intervened and put a sheep in the child’s place. The event is a reminder of the importance of sacrifice in Islam.
YKK Indonesia donated cows from Cibitung and Cimanggis factory respectively with the cows being processed by the slaughterhouse, packed them up and distributed to the community resident around the factory. Interestingly, questionnaires will be distributed at Cibitung factory to find out about the local community’s satisfaction towards Qurban activity and they can exchange the completed questionnaires with Qurban package.
