Education is more than just textbooks and classrooms. YKK Indonesia (Cibitung Factory) believes that the environment plays a crucial role in shaping young minds. The company then decided to donate not only the tools for learning but also the knowledge to nurture a clean and healthy environment to surrounding schools.
In January 2023, SDN 01 Gandasari, a school located near YKK Cibitung Factory, received brand new computers, whiteboards and cabinet cupboards. These tools will not only improve the learning experience for students, but also provide the teachers with better resources.
Beyond fresh classroom facilities, YKK Cibitung Factory also equipped the school with essential cleaning supplies like brooms, mops, dustpans, pails, and trash bins. This will empower the school to maintain the cleanliness for students and staff.
Apart from contributions, cleaning counselling sessions are also arranged so that teachers in schools could learn important cleaning techniques to pass on to students. This year, this program was also continued by including tree planting activities in the event. By participating in tree planting activities, students will then have an approach towards cleanliness and environmental responsibility, as well as foster a deeper understanding.
