Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) YKK is a football school established by YKK Fastening Indonesia Group at the request of employees’ children who participated in our Regional CSR project – YKK Kid’s Football Clinic held in October 2010. At that time, coaches from a famous Italian football club, AS Roma, was invited. The children’s responses were very positive and they requested to have coaching clinic. Then some employees were trying to make it happen, considering that football is one of the most popular sports in the world including in Indonesia.
The coaching activity takes place in a football field in YKK Cibitung Industrial Park every Sunday afternoon from 3:30 – 5:30pm. Children aged 7-14 years are coached by voluntary YKK employees. Main activity is to coach basic knowledge of football to the students regularly.
It started with only 15 students, but numbers of students are increasing as time went by. The SSB YKK management agreed to receive children who live around YKK factory area. Now, there are 57 students including 24 children of YKK employees.
