This is the third time in YKK Lanka’s history which has successfully completed the renovation project for male ward in Avissawella Base Hospital as a part of CSR project. YKK Lanka, in collaboration with KMS Engineering launched this project in Feb 2020 and completed it in early August 2020.
The renovation consists of re-painting of ward, renovating the dinning area, upgrading the washroom, replacing the doors and windows, improve the ventilation system in the Burn Unit, upgrading the electrical system, and having a proper rack for medical equipment as well as building a courtyard.
We are honoured to have the opportunity to maintain the male ward for routine maintenance and also upkeep the ward on a continuous basis. After the renovation, the male ward can now accommodate 52 beds and 60 patients. The authorities are very pleased with the social contribution that YKK Lanka has performed and are appreciative of it.
