In response to the growing pandemic of COVID19, President Rodrigo Duterte declared Luzon under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) last March 16, 2020. Most businesses except those providing necessities were suspended.
Amid the rising cases, one of the challenges a country encountered was the diminishing supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for our health workers. Fortunately, organizations of varying scales stood up against the pandemic by manufacturing PPEs which will be donated. YKK Philippines joined the donation drive by providing zippers to existing and non-customers. Subsequently, we supported our vendors which are starting to deal on the medical suits business. Indeed, it is true that in the middle of difficulty lies different opportunities.
Manufacturers sent their heartfelt gratitude to YKK’s generosity and for making their projects possible despite the situation. It inspires the group to continue doing what we can for our countrymen and to persist on adhering to YKK’s philosophy.
