The blood bank in Taiwan runs low in every summer. In response, Taiwan Chung-Li Factory and the Blood Donation Centre jointly held a blood donation exercise on 8 August 2019. The blood donation vehicles were parked at the 1st and 2nd factory therefore employees who wish to participate could come forward.
The response to the blood donation drive was wonderful. There were a total of 83 employees participated in the activity –35 employees from the 1st Factory, 27 from the 2nd Factory and 21 from the 3rd Factory. In this blood donation exercise, a total of 111 bags (250 c.c. each) were collected, amounting to 27,750 c.c. of blood donated.
There were some enthusiastic employees who wanted to participate in the blood donation exercise left with disappointment as they did not meet the medical requirements.
Managing Director, Mr Kamiya said that this exercise embodies the spirit of YKK Taiwan; to care for the society and giving back to the local community. He hopes that we can continue the effort and even build upon it! YKK Taiwan shall continue to respond to the “Save a life. Donate a bag of blood!” campaign and do its part for the society.
