YKK strongly embraces and believes in innovativeness. This is backed by YKK’s philosophy, ‘Cycle of Goodness: No one prospers without rendering benefit to others’, which believes that ‘contributions to society can best be achieved by the continual creation of value through innovative ideas and inventions.’ Hence, YKK has partnered with the Department of Fashion Design at Shih Chien University in 2006 to provide scholarships to students annually till today.
Shih Chien University is voted in 2014 as ‘The 30 Best Design Schools in the World’ by www.ranker.com, along with other accreditations attained in previous years including ‘Top 30 World’s Best Design Programs’ and ‘Top 60 World’s Best Design Schools’. Graduates from Shih Chien University College of Design have went on to exhibit their talents in numerous fashion design competitions and shows.
Therefore, it is crucial to YKK to support these young designers who are constantly trying to transform the industry and widen the boundaries with their exceptional ideas and creations.
