YKK Thailand keeps themselves updated of processes or products that can potentially reduce environmental impacts through sustainable use of resources or environmental protection activities. Recently, they realized that the material waste from their zipper production such as rubber plastic scraps from rubber injection process (Thermoplastic Polyurethanes TPU), enameling sliders remains and off spec Vislon zippers can be pieced together to produce a new innovative product called “Environmental Friendly Zipper Key Chain”.
They participated in a project managed by Ministry of Industry in Thailand and their new products was chosen to be exhibited. It was held on 7 September 2018 at Tawaravadee Resort Hotel in Prajinburi Province. Their zipper keychain and artificial flowers attracted a lot of attention and interest, especially the rubber plate from the key chain as it’s highly customizable. Some of the artworks turned out to be really pretty!
